for a cast of beautifully foil stamped and/or embossed
pieces to star in the FSEA 2007 Gold Leaf Awards
Competition!
The FSEA
invites you to pop your foil stamped and/or embossed pieces
onto the silver screen in the 2007 Call for Entries a
casting call attracting some of the most creative and
dazzling works in the industry. Competition winners, held in
the highest esteem among industry peers, will honored with
numerous accolades and publicity opportunities throughout
the coming year. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that
the Foil Stamping and Embossing Association posts the
casting call for images of quality and expressions of
excellence in the 15th Annual FSEA Gold Leaf

Judging Criteria:
Design: Does the entry exhibit creativity or uniqueness
in its use of foil and/or embossing?
Execution: Does the entry exhibit technical excellence?
Difficulty: Did the entry require multiple passes, tight
registration, trap issues, multi-level embossing, etc.?

Judging
All judges are knowledgeable
in the process of foil stamping and embossing. To ensure
fairness, submitting companies are masked during the judging
process and no judge may cast a vote for any entry submitted
by his/her own company. Judges will select a Gold, Silver,
and Bronze award in each category. Additionally, a Best of
Show award will be selected from among the Gold award
winners in each category. The decision of the judges will be
final. There will be no appeal of the judges decision and
no correspondence regarding the details of the judging.
Regulations
Entry fees must accompany
entries or your entries will not be judged. We do not
invoice.
Each entry must be submitted with a separate entry form.
The original accompanying this brochure should be
photocopied for additional entries.
Two finished pieces for each entry should be submitted per
category.
Entries must not be mounted, and press sheets will not be
accepted only finished pieces.
There is no limit to the number of entries a company can
submit. There is a one-time fee for the first entry. Each
additional entry, no matter what the category, will be
charged a subsequent fee. See entry fees for additional
information.
FSEA retains the right to re-categorize entries as
necessary. This assures the fairest judging and affords the
entrant the best opportunity.
Entries cannot be returned and become the property of
FSEA.
Any company engaged in the production or design of foil
stamping and embossing may enter. It is not necessary to be
an FSEA member. However, entry fees for non-members are
higher.
ENTRY DEADLINE IS JANUARY 14, 2008.
Awards
Gold, Silver, and Bronze
award winners for the 2007 Gold Leaf Awards Competition will
be highlighted in several promotional campaigns and
displayed at FSEA-related events throughout 2008. All
winners will be announced at the Gold Leaf Awards Banquet on
the last night of the FSEA National Convention in
Scottsdale, Arizona, April 10-12, 2008. Each winning piece
will be displayed prominently throughout the banquet, will
be highlighted in the Awards Banquet Program, and each
winning company will receive an elegantly foil stamped
certificate to display at company headquarters. Winners also
will be featured in the May/June 2008 issue of
InsideFinishing magazine, print and online editions. In
addition, all winners will receive an additional certificate
to present to their customer upon request.
Entry fees
FSEA Members: $35 for the
first entry, $20 for each additional entry no matter what
the category
Non-Members: $50 for the first entry, $30 for each
additional entry no matter what the category
