1st Shift Bindery Position

SunDance Marketing Solutions, a leading provider in print marketing solutions, is seeking a STRONG bindery position for a 1st shift position, with a unique combination of technical skills and the ability to learn on the fly. This would be a part-time position with the ability to move to full time. The selected individual must be capable of working in a small team environment where his or her individual contributions will affect the entire organization. We are looking for a motivated and energetic operator who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work.

We are looking for someone that has extensive experience in bindery work, particularly with a Moll Folder gluer. Experience with die cutting, laminating or any other finishing or bindery equipment would be a plus. Responsibilities will include setting up, operating and monitoring folder. Review of job tickets, dylux or previous printed sample to insure accuracy of cuts and final piece. Instructing and monitoring of temporary personal on equipment along with maintaining a clean work area. Previous experience is REQUIRED. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, operate and/or monitor folder/gluer.
  • Review job ticket, dylux, HP or previous printed sample for finishing specifications.
  • Make final prerun inspection. Obtain final run approval from supervisor or designated lead.
  • Report to shift supervisor of designated lead any problems that may delay job from proceeding to next process.
  • Instruct and monitor performance of temporary personnel on equipment.
  • Monitor and record final part count on project ticket.
  • Complete load tag to identify job and attach to load.
  • Deliver completed project to next operation.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance as required.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Previous experience in the operation of a binder machine or work in a printing environment preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
